Car Key Problem

i have noticed lately that my car key doesn't unlock the driver's side as easily as before, i would have 2 jiggle it around and turn to make it turn sometimes.....but today it all the sudden stopped turning completely, so i have to go 2 my passenger side jus 2 lock and unlock my car.....does anyone know what the problem is? please help??

Maybe something is stuck in the lock? Or solenoid motor for the door lock is malfunctioning. I suggest you install keyless entry system - all your problems would go away. And it's not that expensive - entire plug-in alarm system from Stellar is around 120$.

Not sure if it will help, get some Graphite lube....lead, or use a pencil on the key, rub the pencil lead to lubricate the key. They sell powdered graphite. Hope this helps. Works great with older locks.

Try a pencil lead on the edge of the key first though......
