I had a local BMW mechanic (not a dealer) order the part with the intention of installing it myself. But, I had to have him check my transmission so I had him install it while he had my car. He said it is not difficult to do and is located on the passengers side below dash toward the center console ('95 - 325i). There may be a panel that has to be removed to access the part. Before only the high speed worked which was rather noisy but now all fan speeds are working.
