Climate control swap?

I am new to the wonderful world of BMWs but also no stranger to performance cars. I have a 95' BMW 325i and I was wondering if you could swap the manual climate control out with a digital climate control unit? Has anyone out there done that? Does it have the same plugs or require different actuators? Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I think it would be quite an involved process. It could be done, but would require you to have a decent amount of knowledge regarding electronics and such. The wires would be the "easy" part, but I know that the selector knob on the manual climate control to change the air flow actually has a cable that goes down to a wheel that turns a device to open and close the vents - what do you do about that?

Either way, I don't think it's worth it. I love doing projects on my car, but I just don't really feel the need for digital climate control.
