Climate Control Unit Repair, looking for .47 Micro Farad Capacitor

Hi all,

Thanks to this Forum, I now know how to repair my Climate Control Unit
(for 97 328i). All too familiar symptoms... Display freezes...

I went to local (Chicago Suburbs) Radio Shack and local TV Repair places;
No luck in finding 0.47 Micro Farads Capacitor (50V) non-polarized.
I found polarized eletrolytic type.

If anyone have access to the above mentioned capacitor, I would highly
appreciate it if you could mail it to me. I will pay for (cost of the cap., shipping,
as well as your effort). Please send me an e-mail to [email protected].

good luck. do a google search. i could never find one local. i ended up replacing the whole unit. i think it was about $250.

i have one, but it is not 50v, it is only 35v...i had the same problem and bought five of them. I have one if u want it, and i am also in nw suburbs of chi town

Over the weekend, I've replaced the capacitor (with the one you gave me).
Now the climate Control Unit works great !!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!
