Connection Cable Location in 94 325i

Hi,

Has anyone installed an aftermarket CD changer in a 325? I'm planning to install a CD changer in my 94 325i, but I cannot locate the preinstalled connector. The car has a BMW phone, so it has those two Nokia boxes on either side of the trunk, which may be blocking the connector from view. Any ideas on where to look? Is there a "standard" location?

Granted, I had the OEM changer when I got the car. The harnass was where the changer mounted. It was in the trunk behind the passenger rear seat. Hope this helps.

You should be looking for 2 grey colored plugins. I know this because I tried to tap into the wires for power of the aftermarket amp on a whim.....ended up cutting off the ends....I have a MP3 player so did not need the CD changer, sold it. Sad thing is I ended up popping a fuse that turned out the interior lights....seems the CD changer was on the same circuit. I do still have the stock CD changer compartment....I keep the first aid kit from my Mercedes ML320....THE TRUCK FROM HELL....in there. Damn, will never buy another Benz again.

Great info, carcus! I'll be on the lookout for the wires. Thanks again for the help. it was so simple in my 95 530; the plug was directly behind the prewired notice. The only problem was getting to the battery for power.

Should be plug and play once you find the connectors. On the feft side of my vert trunk has the prewiried for CD changer emblem and phone emblem. Mine was right behind the passenger rear seat. You might want to check both locations. The power is part of the plug and play connectors. Should not have to tap into the power. Let us know how it goes.
