Should but why would you do that? You would probably have to swap rear ends in addition. I don't know much, I imagine the S52 tranny is built stronger with closer gears.

hey, just found out it's the 84-88 rear end of the 535 will work for the M3 conversion and will have to modify drive shaft. if you're lucky enough to find the 535 rear end they probably have the drive shaft you need as well.

didnt do the 5spd conversion but i did get a trans from the stealership
although i had to get a new fuel pump because i let the car sit for so long with no gas and not running also replaced the guiebo.

started her up today and she ran like brand new [80?] cant wait till i can take her home give her a bath so she can look sexy again this weekend.

Yup, Eric is correct. I ordered the conversion kit from theeurodepot, waiting for it to come in. It was supposed to come in this week but it got delayed because of a lot of orders. Hoping it will come in next week and with help of a friend of mine I will put it in in a weekend or so, only stopping for food and sleep that is. I'll report back on how it goes.
