Afternoon all, i'm after some advice on a plan i've been thinking about.

The end aim of this is to chuck an M3EVO engine and associated gear into an E36 touring.

Based on:
www.fabdirect.com/index3.htm

There's a choice of a complete kit which includes suspension, or one without suspension and diff, or just the engine. My questions are:

1: Does the touring handle like a big bag of frogs compared to the other models?

2: Is the M3 suspension interchangeable with that of a touring? I assume the front is the same but is the rear different? Bearing in mind that springs/dampers etc will probably be replaced with non OEM stuff.

3: I would assume the engine and box etc are a farily straight swap? Someone tell me i'm wrong...go on....

4: Would the engine run with the standard gearbox and diff without ripping it to bits (or at all)?

As a final thing, anyone know of a garage in the UK mad enough to do the work for me as i find using a dipstick a challenging experience?

I have no answers to your questions but wanted to welcome you to our home! I have heard that most conversions are more expensive than just buying the end product in the first place, but hey, if you can do the project should be fun! Good luck!
