'95 3 series isn't so hot either, keep meaning to check dealer-my brother's 2000 has very nice cup holders! Maybe a "mod" available.
We shouldn't be drinking or smoking-it is a car for driving!

I have a little adapter thing that fits in the front cupholder that makes it can size. I don't know if that's standard, but it came with the car when we bought it.

Hey guys,
Wondering if you could help out an automotive noob. I'm trying to install cup holders in my mom's 95 525i and one mounting option is to place them in the area just forward of the car's interior door handle. I've tried looking up numerous repair manuals and none have provided further information regarding this area as a good or poor mount as result of internal door wiring or mechanical placements. Is this a feasable mount point? Like Yost, I've visited ulitmatecupholders.com and ordered the flip down Fischer cup holder. (I must agree the ulitmate holder seems to work well, but my mom has issues with a brimming hot cup of joe by her feet.) Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
