these wheels (17" breyton magics) were on ebay but the guy didn't get the reserve of $500. since he is local i emailed him and offered him $400 for them. it is only for the rims. i think they are in pretty good shape with only a few scratches. here is a link he sent with pics of the scratches.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU ALL THINK.......good deal or not?

They kinda remind me of my stock 15 inch rims but in 17 inch form. Damage does not look that bad for the price. I think it is a good deal for a set of 17 inch rims that are used.[thumb]

Sweet Deal!

I would definitely pick those up for $400. They look sweet. You can barely notice those scratches. My girlfriend sold me my M and man talk about messed up rims. Next tire change I'm putting the spare rim on and putting the most messing up rim in the trunk. Also, you can get new center caps online. Just look around. Let me know of you don't want them and I'll pick them up. My 1998 M3 still has the original 17" late model wheels in it so maybe my tires will fit?

GO FOR IT, I think its a sweet deal! [thumb]

Those are good rims. You can have them sand blasted and then painted again. Get new caps or BMW caps and they will look like new. I like them cuz the style is almost like alpina rims.

Sand blasted will cost you around $60 a piece and paint around $350 but be shure to get proffesional paint. If you are going to do that.

thanks for your input guys. i also think they look alot like the stock wheels but for some reason, these are my favorite wheels. i would have prefered 18"s but i thought this was too good of a deal.

as far as the sand blasting....i'd like to do that and maybe change the color. maybe gunmetal or black. i think that would look sweet with the chrome lip. where can i get this done? neighborhood tire store?

hey jcsmfever,
if (for some crazy reason) i don't get them/keep them, i'll let you know.

Thats what I was thinking. Black or Dark grey. It would rock on your car. You gonna have to find a machine shop or shop where they do painting and they will have the sand blasting machine. It will get rid of the scratches and every imperfections.

You know what is also good looking? A thin layer of dark grey Rhino Lining. The stuff they spray bed in the trucks. Its not heavy and its durable as hell and they will look Matte. Awsome

But I think paint is what you want.[thumb]

Yes it is kinda rough surface but I saw it on a few wheels and it did look awsome. And if you live in the cold area, I think its perfect for snow. maybe you can try stock rims. You have to see it with your eyes to see if you like it. I saw even a whole car sprayed with rhino lining and that look like a killer. I don't know how it would look on a BMW but it is a strong material. They even spray walls on houses and government buildings for protection.

They also do cars on the bottom to protect from rust and damages.

So for 400 bucks...did you pick them up? Give us an update? The damage to the aluminum will not be fixed though by a new coating. Still not that much damage. The rims are not cheap if you buy them aftermarket. 400 bucks though......good deal. Is he going to go through with it still?

Again, I do not like that style but those rims new are NOT CHEAP. Let us know.[thumb]

Now...if I could find a nice set of HRE rims for a BMW cheap......forget all the rest...HRE!!!!
