dimming of lights

Hey guys,

I own an e36 96 model 318is manual shift. Offlate i have noticed that once in a while my rpm begins to fluctuate and i notice all my lights fluctuating too accordingly.

Any idea what could be causing this? it doesnt happen always.....say after being on the road for a while. it occurs when im on idle throttle.

your car is fine. when at idle if you turn the radio on, turn your lights on, roll the windows up, or even turn the steering wheel a bit you'll notice the rpm's dip. this is because all that crap uses power that your engine supplies, which at idle, isn't that much.
