I want to replace the struts (67,000 miles) before I get new tires and I am wondering since I am going thru all that trouble should I use the old springs or not. Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with them, but do they wear out or are the good for a while? They are like $150 a peice!

I've got to replace my rear springs. I knew there were problems with the rear suspension , I thought it was just the shock mounts but when I took the tire of I saw the spring was broken. There were a few coils broken on the bottom, I also found out that the shocks were done too. The dealer wanted $450 for the springs and $150 each for the shocks!!! That is way too much though. My friends girl friend works at I think a Honda dealer and called for prices for the parts. the springs were $300 and the shocks $120. Better.

so if the car was to be lowered instead, would the suspension need to be changed? And what if the suspension is M-TECH suspension, then?
