Door Handle Broke

I have a 2004 330Cic. I went to open the passenger door today and the handle would not engage. I call my dealership, but they do not have any appoitment until next week. What is a possible cause if you have had a simular problem, and can I try a simple fix myself rather that wasting 3 hours to go to my closest dealership.

Tweet, shit happens...BMW's are the best when they are working right.
Call up another dealership, 3 weeks' wait is way too long. Try opening and closing the passenger door from the inside a couple of times....maybe that will fix it.

Yeah, if you feel up to it, remove the door panel and check the cables to the handle, sometimes they slip off. All you really need is a T25 or T27 ( I can't remember ) to get the door panel off. I'm not gonne get into specifics of it, but if you can't figure it out, you should probably wait for the dealer. Good luck!

Interestingly, when my battery was dead I could not engage the passenger door handle from the inside. How is it that the door won't open without electrical power? As soon as I got a jump start the door opened right up from the inside. Weird.

Similar, maybe there is no power to that door for you? Doubtful but possible.
