DVD on stock 2001

My brother has a 2001 328ci with the navigation system. My question is can the navigation screen in the dash be used to play dvd movies somehow. Thanx

There is a TV module that can be installed in our cars. It comes in the Euro cars but not the US cars. You can buy it OEM-modified to also play DVD movies with a DVD player, all from NAVTV (look it up). It is pricey though.
