E46 Coupe Third Brake Light Disassembly

Hello,
looking for some help on how to remove the third brake light assembly on an E46 M3 coupe. I've been able to remove the headliner valence panel but I can't seem to figure out how to remove the plastic assembly that is attached to the glass. The glass is fogged and the assembly is dusty and I'm drying to do some detailing. Any help would be appreciated.

E46 Third Brake Light Removal

I worked my way around the assembly removal issue. I was able to flex the assembly enough to get a cleaning cloth inside to wipe out the dust and get the glass cleaned. I left the car out in the sun for a couple of hours and the unit gets pliable enough to slip a couple of fingers inside without over stressing the assembly.
