Anyone ever see E46 type 44 chrome on an E-36? How did it look? Does anyone have any pictures? Thanks from the "newbie" here.

P.S. I know most of you prob don't like chrome but I am old (30 something;) and I like it...

BTW, I have 5 of these rims for sale as soon as the 44's show up next week.

Picture below...I hope

Real nice price, I think I paid 1450 for all the rims with tires mounted and balanced shipped. My tires are continental and are decent....Z rated....did not need exotic tires with my 190 HP though. Sounds like you got a good deal.[thumb]

Looking forward to seeing pics.[:D]

wow, you guys paid a lot! You guys could just buy them off some e46 guy for around $600.

I went with the Type 45s, they look pretty much identical only its in 16". I got them cheap - just something to tide me over until I have time to put my 2nd set of M Contours on. So if anyone is in socal looking for cheap type 45s with 90% tread.....

I did not want to upgrade from 15 to 16....went 15-17, was better in the long run, 18 was just too much, even though they look better, for the roads out here. Yea, could have got some clear coated type 44 rims cheaper....but you will not get a set of chrome 17 inch type 44 rims for 600 bucks, than you still have to get tires, mounted and balanced. 17 inch tires are around 100 bucks a pop....so figure 400 bucks on tires if you just buy the rims...than add mount and balance fee.....

I was wondering if I would be able to fit 18" x 8" on my 325is e36 which is lowered 2" in front and 1.5" rear. Will I have alot of rubbing??? Or do I have to go with the 17"s?
Thanks for any input guys!!!

My suggestion before you spend the money, I would call a shop like tirerack.com or aaarims.com, they are the experts at that. Do not want to give you any bad info and you spend the big bucks on the 18 inch. 18 inch will fit, the 8 inch do not seem too wide. Weird thing with BMW, the rear wheel seems to fill the rear up more than the front due to the body design. 18 inch do look nice though. My 17 inch hit pretty hard some times, I have had 17 inch rims on 3 different vehicles that came with 15 and 16 inch rims.....never went with bigger than 17 inch for practical reasons. Wish I could help you more. Call the experts though first especially with your car being lowered.[;)]
