The electronic shift control light comes on once in a while. But when it does come on, shut the car off for about 2 minutes and then it doesn't come back on when you statrt it back up. Is this a problem that could cause a serious issue or is this just a small nuance? Also where is this located? Does it involve removing the transmission or is it a seperate component? The car is a 1992 BMW 325i four door sedan. Any help is appreciated, thanks much.
