Guys, battery life was down so i jumped the car. When the car came on, the Transmission Light came on too. The car wasn't shifting properly. It felt like something was wrong with the transmisson. I've never had problems with the transmission before. This just happened just because the battery was almost DEAD. I mean the battery was so dead to the point that even after it was jumped, my headunit radio kept turning off and on. If the heater blower is on, the car sounds like it's going to shut off.
Is this a common problem? or is it just the battery?

I took the battery out. It's now being charged at Autozone. I'll put it in tomorrow to see what happens.

I agree, the battery is only used to start the car and can be removed after it is started. The alternator should produce enough power to run the accessories AND charge the battery. Check the voltage the alternator.
