Tom that looks nice, I really like the way it compliments the silver color of the car. When I had the 318's windows tinted I was surprised how much it contrasted with silver color of that car. Very nice!

Awesome !

I am still looking into it. I have only 3 dealers in the area. Only one called me back. $450 for Ceramic series on 5 windows. Tom, How the 50%. From the pics looks pretty dark. any dot matrix problems in the rear window ?

I really want it more for the heat reject ( black interior ). Privacy is 2nd but don't want to get hassled by the cops. One time, early in the morning I drop my wife at the train station. A police followed my all the way to my house ( about a mile ) and stare at me as i reversed into my driveway not sure if he was hassling me or envying the car.

bahnstormer, huperoptik is a tint. They are a german company which developed the unique film technology. The film contains ceramics with high heat reject properties which can keep your car cooler and without being dark to do so.

Tom that looks great. I think the more conservative tint of 50% in the front is very good, especially compared to the 30 or even 25% people get sometimes.

I have the same question as bahnstormer [hihi]

they look really nice tom!! subtle but dark enough.

i got titanium tints on my back and rear windows. not sure what brand, but i had them for over a year and look nice. (not as dark as reg film, but no fade) had i known about huper optics, i would'vd done more research before going forward w/ the tint. but i still like what i got. (after seeing your pics tom, i'm tinkering w/ the idea of doing 50s for the front windows..)

mich law supposedly is no front tint what so ever, and i didn't want to bother w/ the hassle of getting pulled over. (i think it was only $85 more to do the fronts) but i really like the way the tint blends in with the shadowline trim, and i don't like the aruptness btw rear 30s and no tint up front. so maybe it'll be my "spring makeover"

thanks for that link Howard, now i'm gonna be getting some promo about huper optic.. sucker for these things..

Thanks guys.

Huper Optik is special because in addition to providing privacy, it keeps a lot of the heat from entering your vehicle. Check out the link Howard posted and it should provide all the information you need.

Howard,
There are some minor bubbles around that area, but I was told it's normal and will disappear in a few weeks. They also told me that since Huper Optik's tint is so thick, it going to take about 2 months to completely cure. [:0]

2 months? can you still roll down your windows? when i had mine done, i couldn't for 5 days. it was well worth it. at least you can vent the rears and open the roof.. 2 months of no drive throughs would kill me!! (i guess you can just walk in.. but who does that? [:p] yes, i'm a lazy pile......)

hey matt, good pointing out about the sticker, at a quick glance, i thought it was photochopped in there. tom, wonder how many members you netted that way.

That tint does look great in contrast with the silver/black interior, makes me wonder if I should have got mine tinted in the summer...

Tom, that definitely looks great, but why so mild? At the very LEAST, you should have done 30% all around.....what held you back??
I didn't want to go too dark since my real intention was to keep the heat out versus privacy. [:)]

Many people who tint 30% or more all around will usually regret it. It is nice and private, but it also makes it hard to see out. I have known a few that have had it re-done with a lesser up front just so they don't have to roll down their windows just to see out.

That looks awsome Tom. I would like to have my M done with this same tint. Being the color of blue it is and with all the black trim many people have stated how nice my car would look with a window tint. I just haven't had the time or money at the moment to look into it here. Heck, I don't even know if there is a place locally (I am sure there is) that does Huper Optik tinting. Big D may know....

hehe, thanks Scott. I wish I had more decals to give away. My last order got lost in the mail and the guy tried to say it was my fault because I gave him the wrong address. Since that point, I stopped ordering from him.

I got a great deal "so I think" on the Huper Optik installation. With a lifetime warranty and all 5 windows tinted, the grand total came out to $300 even.
