[???1] I have a 1990 535i which I can't lock the front doors. The problem started when the battery died I had a locksmith open it for me. I noticed that he wiggled the driver's side door a few times with the key and he was able to open it. he did the same for the passenger side and that also opened. once I had the car jump started and battery recharged, the front doors are now stuck open. I am now only able to open and close the rear doors and trunk. is there some kind of reset button that I need to do in order to get the doors syncronized?
any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

You could try disconecting the battery, locking all the doors and then connecting it back, that is of course if the doors do lock. I am just randomly guessing but hey, you never know.

I just imported a 1989 525ia from Japan with a similar problem. The passenger lock moves a little when you lock or un-lock the car but will not work right. Went to the E34.net sight and tried to syncronize the locks but this did not fix the problem. The lock can not be physically pushed down either. I think that something may be causing it to bind. Any one else with this problem and a fix for it would be great.
