I got a 87 325i, with diving boards www.binaryboxes.com/misk/bimmz.jpg and I am trying to put this on www.binaryboxes.com/misk/splitter.jpg It was desigend for a is or es Thanks
yeah, specifically that's the pre '88 iS airdam... and it will bolt up to your car no problem... all u gotta do is find all the mounting hardware... and that's easier said than done, since there's a bunch of brackets that you need that i believe are NLA from the dealer

if you want to upgrade your 87 325is to the newer style bumper system and spoiler/splitter setup...they are relatively easy to find...and unlike the original es/is style spoiler, the parts/spoilers are still in production.
The only major part you would need to update would be the front upper/lower valances. The best way to do that would be to go to a junk yard. Even if the car isn't an 'is' model...the valance can still be used for the newer bumper style...and who knows, you go crazy and even mount and original m-tech 2 kit. I've only seen it done once or twice on an 'is' model with the original BMW parts...not an aftermarket replica. oh, and Equate... here's a diagram of most of the stuff u need... it requires three of those brackets that u see sitting in the middle... there's also two outer brackets that are much simpler... i think they're all plastic (i know the ones in the pic are) and break easy... they're also NLA from the dealer
