I recently aquired a 1983 528e. The car seem mechanically sound for 216k miles, the problem I am having is that the speedo, tach and the mpg gauge don't work. The fuel gauge and the water temp gauge seem to be working ok though. Is there an internal fuse or fused link in the gauges? What about a bad relay? I've tried to run the wires down but have yet to have any luck finding sending units for the non-working gauges. The Chilton and Haynes manuals don't really address this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
