Well folks, I've finally succumed to the insane action of procuring a 2 stage supercharger and front /rear Brembo brakes for my 328i.

The month of January will be busy installing the newly acquired components.

Note: Before purchasing the Supercharger i did inquire as to whether or not i could keep my NOS hooked-up. In otherwords: Are superchargers and NOS compatable?

The answer i received was a resonding YES[thumb]

The net horse power will be 417. Should provide some wild rides and shock some Porche's in my neighborhood.

Happy New Year to you all. May it be prosperous and rewarding. [wave]

The supercharger will provide 289hp alone. With the 2nd stage adds 52hp. That equates to 341 hp. Add the 341 hp to the NOS 75hp shot and you get a 416 hp.
Opps, I add additional 1 hp on my original post. Slap my wrist, damn, i overshot by 1hp. Shame on me.

Anyway, don't dispare over the NOS. Cut my 0-60 from 7 sec. to 4 sec. Got the tickets to prove it.

As i posted earlier, I am looking forward to the challenge to put a total of 416 hp in this 328i.

To answer the question of how much ($$$$). $5898.00. Go To: http://www.racemarque.com/rms_bmw/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4&mode=&order=0&thold=0

The Sales Rep is very helpful.

Ok, I''ll bite: what do ya'll find so bad about NOS??

I've enjoyed it. Even put a pressure gage on the bottle so i can determine refill requirements. [driving2]

Pray[pray] tell me how it messes up the engine[???1] I really am interested to know what damage will (possibly) occur as you are the first to suggest that NOS causes damage.

Cheers.

you know how it works right? it just essentially stuffs oxygen into you engine, but at a rather unsafe rate. sure if you use it sparingly it might not be bad, but a solid 100 shot over and over again will age your engine and drivetrain fast. it shoots the power SO hard SO quick, thats what puts the stress on your internals and whatnot.

kids at my school always bs about NOS, my standard argument is that after 10-15 runs on hard shots of NOS they will be rebuilding, and i will still be driving. and i'll tell you that my 328iS is a lot faster than any car with NOS and a blown engine.

To:Frolf,

I have used the NOS approximately 30 times. My compression rate is as it was before my use of the NOS. Thus i must question the concern over the "internals". But, if your "theory" proves correct, then i will be more than happy to reload the 328i with a rebuilt M3 power plant. [scream] [spank]

To: m50POWER,

I currently have a 10 lb bottle located in the trunk. I went with the 75 hp nozzle in the intake. From my research, the NOS injected 'cools' the fuel/air mixture within the cylinder allowing for greater fuel and thus a greater burn.
On my setup, i see a 1500 rpm jump when i activate the systems microswitch (which is located under the gas pedal).

To all,

Perhaps i have just been lucky. Time will tell and i will report the track results (good or bad) as well as how the 2.8 engine holds up (good or bad). I will post the results under the heading of: FOLLOW UP [:)]

hey chief, are you gonna head over to HRP with this setup? i would love to see it in action...
As I am in Fort Worth, i doubt that i will be making it to the HRP. Most likely one of the 4 tracks locally. But that won't be until sometime in March.[thumb]
