I am driving down the road (lets say 60 "wink") and when I hit a left curve the car will vibrate until I reduce speed. This does not occur when I curve to the right only the left.

THOUGHTS?

What vibrates, the steering wheel, the entire car, the pedals, can you pin point it a little further? When you "hit" this left curve are you decelerating, braking, or netural?

We will be get you some ideas and in the mean time, welcome to the board!

Thanks

Big Daddy and Papa-I see a pattern here in these forums [drinking]

Sorry for not providing the specifics. The whole car seems to vibrate. However, as stated, the moment I take foot of the pedal it stops. In addition, it doesnt start right away, I can sometimes be into the turn, hit a crack or bump in road and it starts. I did notice when I changed the air pressue in my tires is helped but its back to doing it again.

I hope this added diagnosis data\\

At first I wondered why you're turning at 60mph, but re-read it for the word 'curve'.

Does this happen if you take it up a bit above 60mph in other situations? 110kph (68mph) you'll start to see whole car vibration from tire balancing issues in a very prominent way. Putting more stress on one side of the car while turning could show these issues at lower speeds, which could be why you're getting that. Try [usual disclaimer] going a bit faster and see if it shows in a straight line. If it is, I'd make sure those tires are fully balanced up, not unevenly worn, and so on.

If that checks out okay, I'd guess CV joints giving a bit.

For good luck check alignment too, as it's a lot cheaper than a CV joint. Also, if you have any oversized tires (if you went wider than the stock ones which is all too common), expect and allow for slightly more vibration at higher speeds while cornering.

Sounds like your motor mount is jarring loose on the problem side- the inertia from the turn or impact may sit the engine differently on a bad mount bushing. The reason it stops shaking when you take your foot off is because your releasing the stress of driving gear. Is the car front wheel drive? Perhaps in extreme cases it could be your knock sensor malfunctioning.
