Heater blowing cold air?

Hey guys and gals,


When i have my heater on, after a while it starts to blow cold air instead of hot, then after a few minutes, it goes back to hot air........

Does anyone know what this means? or causes it? just got done with BMW inspection 1 and 2 nothing was mentioned about it during the inspections,

heater should be no problem, cause the heat comes from the engine not a core.

thermostat maybe. do you have the automatic climate control?

It has climate control, ya.

Is this somthing i should be worried about?

I think it just might be that the engine is still cold, thats what our land rover does, usually i let it get to optimal engine temp otherwise im going to get cold air into the car

Mine takes a while to heat up.....but not much a problem for me stationed in Mississippi....

Sounds normal to me. Would not worry about it.

The last time i noticed that, i had a radiator leak. My radiator neck broke off. Better check it out before it gets too cold.
