i have a '92 325i with a 5 spd. I wanna know if my car could beat out an '00 Integra (also 5 spd). so...whadda ya all think? p.s. im pretty handy with the shifting

What model Integra? LS, GS, GSR? With a GSR, I'd have to say no. The other models would be no problem.

I agree that you probably couldnt beat a GS-R, but the other ones should be beatable. It depends on if either of you have done anything to your respective cars. Sounds like your going to be racing a friend, so if you race him, make sure to bet on it. Thats how friendships grow.

here's a fact you might wanna think about. i have a friend that has a 95 gsr with cams, pulleys, intake, and tanabi exhaust. i used to own a 92 325i auto and am proud to say that on the highway i once raced him and kept up with just an intake in my car. it wasn't even shielded!!! anyway, at this moment his gsr runs low 15's at the track with all those mods and slicks. right now i have a 96 328i with a tri-flo exuast and i'm only 1/2 a second slower on the track. i just installed my AA cais and can't wait to meet him up at the track. by the way, my 328i is also auto. remember that manuals usually run about a half a second quicker than autos!!!!

so as far as beating a gsr with your stock 92, i wouldn't be so sure. but with some modifications, given he doesn't have much done on his car, you may have a great chance!!!

by the way guys, i didn't end up selling my car. i realized that i love it too damn much!!!

325 has 158whp and a gsr has about 155-160ishwhp...so they are pretty close. The gsr is lighter then the bmw. However the bmw has better mid and top end...out of the hole, he'll take you, mid range you'll catch up...top end you'll take him.

I guess you'll never know till you try. Right?!!!! Just do it. If he beats you, you can always learn from that and suit up for another duel.
