intermittant climate control

I have a 1996 328I. the climate control works intermittantly. When working everything works correctly. When not working there are no lights, no action. Could it be a loose connection?

This wont really solve your problem at all, but on my head unit I have something like that, cant really see what its saying unless you turn on the headlight... also wondering what this is.

Then agian when i get my new deck in a week it should be ALL good but still curious.

Wow, what a great link. Thanks for the direction. Since it will eventually stop working, I have nothing to lose with replacing the faulty cap.

I dont know if it's as common but there is probably some kind of final stage resistor on these cars that can go bad.

I have also got intermittent problems with my climate control.. or had. It seems to have stopped working altogether now. The lights are on but no fan blowing at all. When i press a button theres a noise like something is trying to work.
I tried doing that cap modification just now and it dosent seem to have worked.
I really dont know what to do next. With the summer coming up i need to get it fixed asap.
Could it be the main blowers or a motor or something? im not sure even where to locate these.
