is it really worth it?

I am looking at the airfilters for the 325i ad was wondering if the cold air intake was worth the money or if i could just do the stock box and a k + n filter made for it and replace the snorkel wit some ram style air comming from the brake ducts? custom of course

Yes, in my opinion the cold air intake is much better, but to get the most from the CAI you need to get a chip or software upgrade. The K&N helps the eng breath but it's still getting it's air from under the hood, heated air from the eng compartment. The CAI on my BMW gets the air from below and behind the front bumper, the air is cooler and more dense. Hope this helps.

i know that. i was going to run ducting from were the brake cooling intakes run from to the stock airbow. then i would also be getting the air from the front were it would be colder as well as have some positive force behind as well. i was wondering if the K+N fitlter would alow enough air into the system like the cold air does

K&N cold air intake is the way to go, much better

make sure the filter is a cone filter and is not a box filter
