Issues with Pirelli tires

I am curious if anyone has had the same problems I have been experiencing. I bought Pirelli P7000 tires 2 years ago. I have maybe 15,000 miles on them and they are in great shape (or I should say were in great shape).

To make a long story short, in the matter of three weeks two have developed golf sized bubbles in the sidewalls and a third blew out on the highway. In addition to the blowout I now have a severly bent rim that needs to be replaced/repaired....see next thread. These were purchased new off of Tirerack and installed by a very reputable import repair shop.

Needless to say I am irritated. Anyone had similar experiences with Pirelli tires, or is this a fluke?

Have you called Tire Rack yet? Also, what is the warranty period on the tires? You might be able to get them replaced and your wheel repaired or replaced at their cost if you complain enough! A good will thing!

I called Tire Rack. They referred me to Pirelli, all pirelli said is that I could have the newest of the "bubbling" tires looked at for possible prorated re-imbursement. He was not willing to to make any sort of concession for the other two tires which have already been replaced or have any discussion regarding the bent wheel. He was borderline rude. I will never buy another Pirelli tire after this experience.

Tire Rack gave me a decent price on a couple replacements and shipped them for free - to their credit. At least one of the companies has shown a little loyalty to a customer, even if just a small gesture.
