I was browsing through the junkyard and found a beautiful '94 540i with all the good stuff taken out. Under the back seat I found an original keyless entry system, with a part number that no BMW dealer in my area could recognize. . The question to those who have installed OEM BMW keyless entry unit (or alarm, same thing) into their E36s - do you think the unit I picked up might fit the E36? It has a green connector with male 12-pin top row and 10-pin bottom row. The dimensions, input voltage and appearance of the box is identical to the units used on E36. Part # 90 88 1 600 309. Thanks.
