leak near the water pump

93 325 auto has a leak Under the water pump that looks like mazola cooking oil ( on the yellow side) I have found that if I drop engine oil and power stearing oil intothe leaking liquid that the two oils do not mix and remain on top. I would like to fix this myself if possible
Any suggestions thanks

well, if its under the watre pump wouldnt it be logical that it is radiator fluid

you probably have a leaky water pump

Certainly sounds like the water pump bearing seal has failed, but I think you've already figured that out? If have worked on cars before this job is about the same as any other water pump swap. It's not the job for a beginner, but it isn't too hard either. The biggest challenge is getting the fan off, you need to secure the pulley from spinning and give it a hard whack to break the nut loose.

If you do it, make sure to replace the hoses and thermostat at the same time, as they will be failing in the next few years.
