Hey Everyone,
Here's a little delimma that I'm sure many of you long time Bimmer-Heads have experienced (or I'm lone village-idiot). I left town for a couple weeks only to return to my 1991 M5 in a deep slumber -- I forgot to disconnect the battery. Now I'm locked out. I've tried the "Pull up on the door handle while simultaneously turning the key" trick several times -- no luck. So, before I have my car towed into the dealer ($$$$$!), does any one have any suggestions? [scratch]

The key trick DOES work - but you have to turn the key further and a bit harder than you would probably feel comfortable doing

Hey guys, Thanks!
Tom, that BMWE34.NET website is new to me and it help a whoooole lot. Apparently, I was attempting to open the door the right way I just wasn't applying enough force, as EPJ3 suggested, I turn beyond the stopping point and now I'm in.
