I've never used Lucas fuel treatment but I did just go through a tank of fuel treated with Seafoam engine treatment and I also added the seafoam to my oil. I can't tell if it's doing anything in the oil, but after running through the tank with the treatment it did manage to cure my rough idle! I was very happy about this as I did not expect it to work, but it did. I got the Seafoam from http://www.midwayautosupply.com They also have tons of other treatments there too. Good selection and very fast shipping.

I have not, but I have heard of, used and highly recommend Redline's Si-1 injector cleaner. This product was recommended to me by a BMW sales person (past CCA Chapter President and BMW CCA Performance Driving Instructor), and a BMW Speciality Garage owner (CCA Omsbudman, ICSCCA, SCCA race driver, and a CCA Performance Driving Instructor).

i personally use chevron fuel. they also make fuel injection cleaner, and well as engine treatments formulas, and they work VERY well. Cheap too, >$5.

I run some injector cleaner every 5K miles or so.......actually, need to get some tomorrow, had a pretty rough idle when it started today, need to throw in some 93 octane as well. Normally I run Special instead of Premium. Chevron injector cleaner works well for me, mechanics have a nice can they hook up to the fuel line that burns all the crap out of the injectors, not cheap if I remember, about 60-70 bucks, have not done that on the BMW yet, but the car has 70K miles on it, might do that after I change my plugs soon.
