Just ordered a new 2005 330i w. Perf Pack.

Anyone have good ideas on what some simple MODs might be??

I am planning on putting clear lights all the way around.

Anything simple for the engine??

TIA

Silver Gray....seems like everyone is getting that color, but it is so damn HOT!!
I wish they offered the Sparkling Graphite on the sedan like they do on the coupe.
Seems like they should have the same paint available for both.

I Think I'll get the clear light kit from bimmian.com

http://www.bimmian.com/clearlens.htm

It comes with front, side, and rear lenes and also the stealth bulbs for $455 plus tax and shipping. Anybody hear anything bad about this company?? They are the cheapest priced lenes I could find so I am concerned about quality.

where in irvine are you? if u see another silver grey zhp, that's me along with a million others. lol

regarding clears..i would get them at bvauto or bekkers. i haven't heard good things about bimmian. also...u may want to contact rennsport (www.rennsport.com). i believe they have a group buy on these for $375!!! see if you can get in. check out this post in e46fanatics.

I live on the North West side of Irvine by Northwood Highschool...

I will hopfully have late Nov/ early Dec.

Thanks for the feedback on bimmian. I will keep that in mind.

I really want to go for the angel eyes as well. They look amazing and I wish BMW would step up and add them as standard equip!!!

Other than a few cosmetic MODS, why would you want to do any othe MODS on the ZHP? It seems perfect the way it comes, when it comes to performance. Just my opinion-- (wish I had a ZHP).

clear markers would look nice on yours. i thought about doing that too, but decided that amber complements the imola quite well, and i for one, love the fact that my car is quite unique around here.. i've seen my clone only twice on the road, during the past year that i've had the car. altho i'm not sure if it was the same car or not..

if there's one thing i have against silver, which i do like [doorpeek] is the fact that it's the new black, and every one and their mother drives either a black or a silver bimmer.

you will love it, once you get it. did you opt to row yourself, or did you get the sliptro btw?

The only mod I made on my ZHP was the addition of the E46 M3 front stress bar. It looks nice but has little if any affect on the street. I purchased it from Pacific BMW since they had the best price when I got mine.

I have already ordered clears all the way around with the sivervision bulbs.

Possibly getting some Halo's, but I am still thinking about that.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Congrats on the order, but if you want more power even before you have the car, maybe you should step it up to the M3. Or at least drive the car around for a little bit and then decide how you want to improve it (be it performance, audio/visual, exterior/interior, etc.).

I would get the M3 but it is not a practicle car for me to have right now. Need the 4 doors for the family from time to time.

Average Jae, I got the steptronic, only because I drive on the freeway a lot and I hate shifting so much in bumber to bumber traffic.

I enjoy driving our X3 with the Steptronic. It's fun, and test driving the 330i ZHP w/ steptronic at the dealer b4 we ordered, I loved the performance it provided, so it will be profecient.

Later Guys!

cool. you'll really enjoy your car. i'm not a big fan of autos.. but then again, i've only driven a manual for a year or so. maybe it'll wear on me, and i'll pick up an auto later.. altho at this point, it's highly unlikely.. maybe a SMG tranny, but even that's up for debate.

you really don't have to justify your choice one way or another. (even tho i'm guilty of inquiring WHY?? at times ^^;;) it's your money, and you spend it as you see fit. having said that, it is a bit disappointing that people are picking up zhp with steptro, since any perf gained by tweaking will be sapped by the auto tranny back to regular 330i manual-ish if not lower perf numbers. but then again, if you were thinking of getting a 330i steptro anyway, then you'll benefit from the boost. not to mention way way better looks over stock 330i.

i love my car, and even tho the payment is killing me, i still smile that broad smile everytime i step on it. (even if i wish i had an m at times.. ^^;;) and i think that's what it's about anyway. better than saving few bucks a month to settle for a car i could easily afford, while robbing me of my driving enjoyment imo..
