Motor Question

Ok guys i finally blew my 4 cyl motor . I have a 325i doner car lined up. What i want to know is if the production date of the car is 6/94 is the car a 94 or a 95? and what motor came in that car? and i dont mean a 6 cyl. i mean is it a m50 motor or what? what is the HP from a stock 325i motor of that yr? and does anyone have ay sights to go to to hook it up? befor the motor even goes in the car it will get a comp chip and and underdrive pully kit. and most likelly a set of headers. but other then that what else should i do? has anyone done the underdrive pullies? are they worth doing?

Production date doesn't consistently match up the the registered year of the car-instead look at the 8th digit of the V.I.N. (from the right). I'll post tomorrow as to what year equals what letter (thats in my desk at work).

I found out the car has a m50tu motor in it. the motor has 190 hp. it will need some parts for it to run again. does anyone know where i can get the motor plastics in carbon fiber? i think i saw them befor. i am looking at the possability of makeing the motor a 3.0 or a 3.2. from what i have seen alot of people do that to the 325 motor and i will also be installing a set of m3 cams and re doing all the seals befor it goes in. just some ideas i have been putting on the table. i have another car to drive in the meantime. although not a BMW it gets me from A to B while she is down.

pully are a waste of money....399 for 4hp....you can spend you money on other things....headers are a waste too for the most part unless your throwing down some scerious hp...only thing the header did on my car was make my exhaust louder...you want to build the motor...send it to bekkers....they know their shit...265 will run you 7100....290hp will be 9998...and 330 will be 19,000 (my personal fav)
