My first Bmw

I'm just starting on this BMW road with a mint 1994 318is total fresh everything inside and out ( I THOUGHT). I took it to get my first oil change and now I'm leaking oil took it back to the shop and they said it looks like a rear main seal, HELP, I cant even find the dip stick..........

Get a second opinion. What shop are you taking it to? Rinky-dink oil change place, or BMW Dealer?

If you are car-illiterate, you should make some friends with the grease-monkeys. Some of my best friends are mechanics or bodyshop guys, and they are good people to know! And they like to have fun, and race cars...

crawl under the car and see if you can see oil dripping out between the transmission and the engine. This would confirm thier suspicion.

well i guess i don't know if you could crawl under and know what i'm talking about if you can't find the dipstick....

what exactly do you want to know?
