I just purchased my 94 325i convertable a couple days ago and I am starting to work out the kinks that came with the car (fuses, airbag light, brake circuit check). I have already replaced a couple blown fuses the dealer failed to replace and one of them was the heater fuse (#22 I believe). I replaced it and it hasnt blown, but the heater doesnt want to come on. I am open for any hints or suggestions regarding this. Thankyou.

Do you mean that the fan doesnt turn on to push heat out the vents?
Your car has to be at normal operating temp to work properly (thermostat needs to be open)

Also open your coolant expansion tank and inspect to see if there is green coolant, If it is a brown dirty colour expect blocked heater hoses, but if it is clean it may still be blocked if it wasnt flushed properly.

let us know what you figure.

Thank you for the welcome.

The coolant is nice and green and the car operates at normal temp. The fan turns on, but no hot air comes from it. If the heater is clogged, is it really DIY easy to unclog it?

possibly.
Flushing the engine block with the heater core fully open may unblock it, but i dunno, purhaps a faulty heater core. Im quite puzzled and interested as to what is wrong with the thing now.
I'v read about doing a coolant exchange on a 1994 325 and i know that it is easier than doing one on a 84 323i, thats for sure.

heater temp

I suggest you check the heater control valve and insure it's working before looking at a clogged heater core. I had one go bad on a 95 325iC. Real pain to change but cured my heat troubles. BTW, get yourself a Bentleys Manual, worth every dime.

one more thing to check

I'm sure you have already checked, but on the two vent controls on each side of the middle of the dashboard, make sure the thumbwheels are rotated to the red side / away from the blue side.
