Need a new muffler - Which One?

It's time to replace my muffler - It's starting to get a little loud. I would like to get one the looks decent since the muffler is visible, but I don't want a loud one. My current one sounds like a rice burner with an aftermarket muffler. I wouldn't mind a "little" rumble but I don't want the whole city to know when I punch it. Any suggestions on which one to buy and where to get it would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I've been looking for one as well. Although I've people say Remus has rust issues, I still have not found one that is of such good quality and such good sound for a cheap price.

I see twin tip turbo Remus' sell for 299 on ebay. I also heard good things about Stromung. If you search through the e36 threads you will find one on mufflers.

Good luck and let us know what you end up getting.

I have an RMS muffler that i picked up 2 weeks ago while in Van Nuys, Ca. Had a gate guard at the Joint Reserve Base here in Fort Worth yell at me to slow down after he reviewed my id card and waved me on with what i took as disrespect. Yes i did give the throttle 'just a little extra push to aggrevaite his butt'. Not my fault he isn't in Afganistan.
