After reading about the many issue with the E36 can and looking at the two 325is cars this weekend, I did buy one. I got a 95 325is auto, 101K for $5300.00 the price is somewhat special as I do own a small car lot and bought this car off another dealer which is a friend.

There was two car the other was a piece of junk...I did not even want to drive it but I did for comparo. The 325 is diffent than my current WRX but is a nice car.

Now I'm looking for information for body parts (front airdam and wing), wheels and performace pieces (chip? exhaust?). Anyone out there perferred?

Also looking for a good source of hop ups.

Thanks

George

I'll be picking up the car tomorrow, so pictures are coming.

Its Brit green with the bottle cap wheels, two door. I want to do a mix of hop up and appearance. Rear wing is a for sure, I've seen a few nice front bumper covers which look pretty nice, upgraded wheels are a must. As far as the motor, I beleive this is a 24v motor, I'd like to hop it up a bit, the car is not needed daily..although I'd like to drive it daily...but if a chip, exhaust and intake only net out 15hp I'm not going to bother...I'll just make it sound good.

Need to replace floor mats..car had to be driven by a lady as there is a hole in the mat from high hills.

need an owners manual...its missing and I have no idea how to work half the stuff.

Absolutley no shopping kart handles...maybe I should refer tothem as spoiler.

My days of crapping up a car ended with my 74 nova hatchback...nice kragers, air shocks and a 8 ball shifter.

You should do the M conversion . . . M3 side skirts, rear spoiler, front bumper, rear bumper

Here check out this site: http://www.visageauto.com/3S.php

as far as engine mods . . . get a good exhaust . . I really like the Stomung . . . it sounds great ! ! ! Check out this site, they have test clips too so, you can see and listen

as far as BIG hp gains . . only if you do interial engine or use a supercharger or a turbo set up . . .

Get a CAI (Cold Air Intake) nice mod . .

non-OEM body parts are typically frowned upon in the BMW community. Even most reputable German aftermarket manufacturers don't have a large following within BMWdom. Perhaps Reiger has some things that are decent... I honestly don't know.

The link that you should have followed to the Visage website is http://www.visageauto.com/3S9298.php
Be careful if you purchase an M3 front bumper cover, as you will have to purchase new fog lights typically as well.

As for performance chips, Jim Conforti chips are as good as they get.

If you're looking for upgraded wheels, OEM wheels are a good way to go, in my opinion. e36 and e46 wheels will fit on there quite tidily. BBS is the premiere wheel manufacturer. You can't go wrong with them, but they're pricey.

If you're interested, I have a set of OEM style 42 wheels that I believe that I'd be willing to part with. I purchased them for my 325i, but now that I have my M3, I don't believe that the 16" wheel will clear the caliper. I'll need to double check this, though. The wheels would come with Bridgestone Potenza tires that have been run for approximately 1.5-2k miles. If you're interested, PM me on this board, and we'll talk. I'm in Pittsburgh, so it'd be local and no shipping charges.

The style 42 wheels:

Other OEM favorites include the M wheels, etc. etc.
All the BMW wheels:

I think that the 5 series wheels are typically the nicest, but won't fit on a 3 series due to a difference in offset.

Regardless, I hope that you enjoy the new BMW!
