i went from the standard 16x7 style 45's to the 325i sport package wheels/tires style 96s.

I know both sets are exactly the same height but obviously the sport package tires are wider.

all i did was just buy the wheels/tires from a person taking them off his 325i (everything OEM)

the question ... do i need to do any suspension work or re-alignment to make the tires sit level? wear correctly? grip correctly?

or can you just put wider wheels/tires on a stock 325i without worrying about anything?

everything feels great now, however i want to make sure everything will be ok 50K+ miles down the road.

thanks,
ben

No need to re-align. They align the cars based on the standard factory specification, not specific wheels/tires.

However, you would definitely not get 50K miles out the new tires. BMW sport package tires will last usually somewhere between 15K to 25k miles.

oops yea i forgot those z rated tires wear pretty fast =)

anyways i just want to make sure that my current setup will be the most efficent for tire wear. (besides the fact that they are super soft)
