I just bought my first e36 and it came with 18" hamann rims. Looks cool but i was wondering if these wheels would cause my car to take off from stand still slower. The tranny shifts well, just wierd that my e30 325i feels like if it goes off stand still faster . Anythoughts? Thank in advance.

Thanx, Car has 140k, just changed the tranny oil and filter. Dropped both pans filled the smaller one before bolting it on.

The wheels look great, but if the car didn't come with 18" I do believe your correct in thinking the car will be a little sluggish from a standing start. Larger wheels are probably a little heavier and overcoming the larger diameter rims calls for more horsepower to rotate at a given rpm. Check out cars at the track. notice the small diameter rims, gives the car a slight advantage over stock.

i like the rims and think the angle eyse would look sick and would love to get me some at one point too tell me if those work out. also is your e30 manuel casue that will show a differnce in instant take off over an automatic.
