hi there,

Well the other day I noticed that my car heating is not working. I have a digi climate control and everything seems to be ok visually. I set the temp to say 25C and ran the car for 20 min but I am not getting ANY heat out of it !!! (jsu cool air, being cold outside and all)
I've chkd that a/c button is not on, chkd that the temp dail under the centre vents is on the red bit.

wats gone here then ???? and how can i fix this ?

Thanks.

I had the same problem for several months. I sort of lived with it for a while (not the best idea because it was winter in Maine.) I finally got the thermostat replaced, about $30, and the thermostat housing had to be replaced because it was warped and leaking, about $40. After that was done I had tons of heat, and the temp gauge finally moved above the blue, now it sits perfectly in the middle of the dial.

It could also be low coolant, check that first, but it probably is the thermostat.

Say you floor the car pretty hard.... will you get heat then? It'll go away but if thats the case, then your coolant is probably low.

i had that same issue also and it was the heater solenoid next to the brake master cylinder. i think it has 2 or 3 hoses on it. i removed it and opened it up and the rubber seals were shot. i replaced it and heat once more.

it seems to be the coolent....as it was low....as a temp measure i filled it with water, then had to drive it somewhere, came back after 30 mins and the coolent/water level had gone down again( i 've decided to flush it later on but for now) i filled the radiator up again (approx 2/3 ltres of water) and it went down again after i started the car and left it runing !!!
there r no leaks wat so ever.
thermostat was replaced 16 months ago.

wats the problem here?
thx

the proper way to fill your cooling system:

turn on the heat on it the car to max and put it to defrost
parke the car on an incline if you can
open bleed screw and pour until the bubbles go away
make sure you are getting something close to a 50/50 mix for better cooling
**check your oil and pray you don't have a cracked head ( i doubt it though)
when i replaced my thermostat the 3rd time, i drilled a tiny hole in the top of the thermostat so it can burp itself from all the air trapped in the block
