odometer went dim??

the other day my odometer went dim...kinda like the radios do anyone have this happen? is it most likely a bulb, and how hard to get to? thanks in advance for any info!

Yes, it is a bulb. I had the same problem when I bought my car. You have to take the gauge cluster out. There are two screws to remove. then lower your steering wheel to the lowest position. There ar colored pin conectors on the back. They have a catch that you have to push up on then pull out the connector. The bulbs are on the back of the cluster and just twist in place. You need to get the bulbs from the dealer.
The cluster is a little difficult to remove so be patient and you can do it.

i tried to do that with tilting the wheel and i could not get the cluster out. I had to remove the steering wheel then pull it out. It was a real pain to get the wheel off with an air bag. If you have to do it make sure you have a bentley manual incase you have to deactivate the air bag.
