I am in a door handle nightmare, actually I have been for a long while now but I am to the point where I must fix it. There is a small rod that connects the acutal outer door handle to the release mechanism that has sheared at a high stress point, therefore I cannot enter my car from the drivers side outer. To make things worse both inner door handles have partially broke where it is sometimes difficult to get out of the car from either side when in the car (stuck inside!), the inners are the least of my worries, I have a fix for those.
Does anyone have, or know of a place I could get a reasonable priced outer drivers side door handle? I could even get by with the rod, or design and machine a new one if I had one for one day.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
