Yeah, once you start adding exhaust, intake, injectors, and all this other performance stuff, those cams go from giving you 22 hp to more like 30-40 (depending on how much other stuff you do)

You see, the only difference that a cam will do is open a valve fuller (opener, I can't think of the right word) when it does this it allows a chance for more air/fuel to get into....

You are Wrong Vance. There are two possible variables in a sport cam. First is the higher lift that does what you said, allows more air/fuel mixture input to the engine. The second is the most critical and is related to the openning angle, this modification force the engine to give more torque at low RPM's, the sacrifice (as all matters in life) is a rough idle. Sport cams give more performance from 1500 RPM's to the top.
