I have 1994 325 ic with a Dinan cold air intake, high flow throttle body, Borla exhaust, Turner Motorsports headers, and chip. My question is would I be better served by getting a Bavarian Autosport custom programmed chip to replace the "stock aftermarket chip" I currently have?

hmmm, well there is a chance that you might notice a little gain in the car. Was your chip instaled before or after all of your other mods? Because you might of had better results if you had the chip put in after the intake, throttle body, headers, and exhaust. The custom chips are ok, from what I can remember they are a bit pricy. If you are going to do anything else to the car like cams or whatnot I would wait on replacing the chip untill you are done tunning the motor, because you don't want to spend all that money on a chip, and then go back into your motor later. Well I hope that this helped a little.

I got the chip before I got some of the mods. As for the custom chip, my thoughts were that it I know there won't be a whole lot of hp gain but it would bring all of the mods together to work better. My engine seems to be starved for fuel in the upper RPM range. And if I do get cams they will reprogram it for that application, for free.

I love TM/JC, that is the chip I have currently. I didn't know they made a custom chip, what mods was your chip programmed for?
