I have a 1992 325I, that has all of the goodies on it. 18" wheels, exhaust, intake, suspension. I have done all of my mods myself and I am very mechanically inclined. Except for this one problem I am having. Often I hear a really load clicking sound coming from the drivers side rear when I get on the gas or when I am slowing down. Sometimes I can hear it when I am turning. I have had many people look at my car and know one seems to be able to figure this one out . It is a very clear CLICK,CLICK,CLICK,CLICK sound and some times it goes way. Please help this is killing me.

have a 92 325i and i am experiencing the same thing. I haven't lifted the car up to see if anything is loose. But i think it could be the this possibilities. (1.) My muffler not tight enough, (2.) The Rear upper shock mount (3.) A loose brake pad or caliper stuff. Tell me when you figure it out.

Sounds like a Ball Joint. I had a cracked ball joint that did the same thing, especially when I turned, it was on my passenger side. Not too costly to fix...unless you wait for it to totally break at which point you have to pay for the repair and a tow to the shop. Good luck, let me know if that is what it is.

I have had my mechanic look at it again and he really thinks that it is a cv joint on the axle. The only problem that I have, it is not consistant and this is a pretty high dollar repair. He says that he can replace it with a new one for around $600 or he has found a used one that is gauranteed and it will cost me $295. These prices include the labor, but he said it might not fix the problem since we can pinpoint the problem.. I guess it's a gamble
