Not sure what this is.... 1997 328 i convertible 123,000 miles. Sitting at a red light in Drive. The car all of a sudden felt like it was going to move forward, almost like a jerking but my foot was on the break and the car didn't move. It doesn't do it all the time. Another example was getting on the highway and it was stammering, another words not getting up to speed and then all of a sudden it kicked in. Can someone explain this to me?

change your fuel filter, get an injector cleaning fluid of some type and dump it in. (read the directions before dumping it in and for goodness sake, stop putting 89 octane in your ride. BMW says 93, you put 93.

Actually I think somebody told me that BMW reccomends 91 for E36s, and 89 for E30s. Still nothing keeps me from putting 93 in mine.

Actually, around here you can get, 87, 89, 91, 93 and even 94 at some sunnoco stations.

A really cheap friend of my fathers did a test where he figured out that it actually costs about the same to put 93 or 87 in the car since he got better milage on 93 everything would even out. He stopped putting in 93 since his son started driving and only put 87 in it, cheap bastard.

Thanks

Thanks for the advise, it turns out I found another forum with someone who had the same problem. Turns out I needed to change my spark plugs and wires, car runs fine now. Thanks
