rear view mirror...need some help!

It's so frigging cold here in NY that my rear view mirror literally fell off my windshield this morning. there is a metal disc that is supposed to stick directly to the glass. I tried putting it back on with some super glue but it won't hold. Have any of you had this problem, and what can I do to fix it? It's pretty hard to drive without a rear view mirror. Thanks in advance for any help.

Go to your local autoparts store or WalMart and get some rearview mirror glue. It's a special kind of superglue that bonds the metal disc to the glass firmly but breaks off if your head hits the mirror during an accident. It's the only thing you should use to reattach the mirror to the windshield.

the only thing that will hold the mirror up is the special rear view mirror glue from an auto parts store. Nothing else works.

this happened to me too except in the dead of summer. i go outside to see my hazard lights on.the rearview mirror fell dirctly on the button!! good thing the battery wasn't dead as i had no idea how long they were on.but yeah, only the special rearview mirror glue works.
