i didn't even know that the tray hat bulbs (i have non-smoker package). how sophisticated!!! are the bulbd included in the ashtray somehow? where are they placed?

in case it is the casing or tray itself my first try woulb be to check a dealer if he has a replacement part you could use.

Good call on checking with dealer (shudder), I should build a rapport with someone there though.
Thanks,

I would try to describe light but I'd be here all night! Just a little plastic post with a bulb in it-the post has a top to it so you don't get glare-OR ACCESS TO THE F#$*NG BULB-maybe I'm just bulb impaired.

I've done it before. YOu pop out the ashtray part (the part you would put loose change or cigarette ashes in). There is then one or two small screws (my memory fails me)on the bottom of the ashtray housing that need to come out. Once you unscrew, the houseing (the rest of the ashtray, with the door connected and your light bulb) will slip out by pulling up (towards your face). You then can then disconnect the lightbulb from the wire (at the bottom of the bulb) and with plyers (or maybe you're lucky and strong, and can get it without plyers) pull the bulb out by rotating it back and fourth (it doesnt have screw threads, it just needs to be loosened by elbow grease). Your bulb comes out, wha-la. Id check out the dealer by the way, or maybe even a car parts store like Advanced Auto (or something of the likings)

Thanks! I didn't notice the screws, will take a look Sat. Also have to replace a burned out driving light bulb-the list around the house is too long to get into, but "SHE" comes first !!
Where did you find bulb?
Thanks again
