Rim Size?

Hello all. I'm new here and plan to buy a 92-95 325is in the near future. I'm just wondering what size rims will fit on it if i lower it 1.5 in the front and 1.5 in the back? I just want to make sure they don't rub when i make a turn. Also, how wide of a rim and tire will i be able to go in the back?

I believe it's 8.5 . . . . but, the rim needs to have an offset of 40mm . . . you can also roll your fenders too . . . .

8.5 or 9 at the max

be weary of the offset, even if you are with in the range of like 40 (maybe 38?) - 46ish you still may have rubbing issues

you can fit 8.5s in the rear easily...fronts you may need spacers to fit 8.5s. a good size is a 17x8 rim. fills up the wheel wells very nicely.

i owned a set of hamann hm3's and they were 17 X 8.5 all around with a 40mm offset. absolutely 0 rubbing issues without being lowered... oh yeah, 225/45's all around too!!!
